JUST BECAUSE

Standard

Daytime-full-moon

Just because the moon is in the sky doesn’t mean it’s night
Seeing stars upon your eyes doesn’t mean you’re falling
Being good doesn’t mean you have to dress in white
Bells don’t ring when the universe comes calling
All is as it should be except when it is not
Bad things may or may not happen when your stomach’s all in knots
You can ask me why
But I’ll probably just smile at you

Just because you said it doesn’t mean they understand
When someone’s lips move it doesn’t mean they’re speaking
Being lonely doesn’t mean you need someone to hold your hand
Having faith doesn’t mean the same thing as believing
Something’s bound to happen unless it does not
When something seems quite tiny it can still consume a lot
You can ask me why
But I’ll probably just wink at you

Just because a book is full of words doesn’t mean;  literary great
A calm serene appearance doesn’t mean the water’s fine
A lemniscate is not really a perfect figure eight
You don’t have to conform when they tell you to get in line
The sky is probably falling except that it is not
But every lie that makes a break eventually gets caught
You can ask me why
But I’ll probably just laugh with you

Just because you’re told what’s real, that doesn’t make it true
And if a bird can’t fly it might be built for soaring
Because there are monsters, it doesn’t mean they’re after you
Might be a happy accident, a ship has lost it’s mooring
Every rose has got its thorns, except the ones do not
And life gets a little rosier when you give it all you’ve got
You can ask me why
But I’ll probably just wave at you

Just because you seek doesn’t mean that you shall find
So why waste your life with brows bent with worry
Everything you need is in the cockles of your mind
You won’t get there any faster just because you hurry
So when life hands you lemons make a gin and tonic
And have a  little fun knowing the haves often have not
You can ask me why
But I’ll probably just blow a kiss at you
